DECAWhat is DECA?
DECA is an association of marketing students, open to all students. Whether marketing is a career choice for you or not, DECA has proven to be beneficial for high school students! DECA allows students to use the business skills learned throughout the school year in a competitive environment. What will you get out of DECA? You will have the opportunity to build your leadership skills through leadership conferences. You will compete against other chapters at district, state, and national level competition. We also serve our community through several civic projects. You will also have the chance to travel to New York! How much time does it take? The entire chapter meets once a month. When special events and competition is occurring, we will meet as needed. Many projects will take place in business classes as well. What does it cost to become a member? Local Dues $20.00 (Includes DECA T-Shirt) State Dues $5.00 National Dues $8.00 Total Dues $33.00 How do I sign up? Fill out the membership form and return it to Mrs. Nellis in room 323 with a check for $33 made out to Forest Lake High School. |
